Ksplice
Ksplice enables running Linux® systems to stay secure without the disruption
of rebooting. Ksplice creates rebootless updates for the Linux® kernel.
Carbon Mountain uses the Ksplice utilities to generate live Linux® kernel patches. These patches are then
applied to running KaOS™ platforms to patch the Linux® kernel in real-time. Traditionally these patches
would require the system to be rebooted. Thanks to the Ksplice project, Carbon Mountain can patch kernel problems without
requiring users to reboot their systems. Ksplice has been designed into the fabric of KaOS™, for improved integration
and stability.
Ksplice is a core component in KaOS™ and vKaOS™.
